Steamed cabbage leaf salad
This simple steamed cabbage leaf salad gets an extra kick with lumpfish roe and homemade herbal salt. Delicious!
Ingredients
- cabbage leaves
- dill
- scallions
- oil
- balsamic vinegar
- lemon juice
- herbal salt
- roe or capers
- parsnip, potato or beet chips
I got this recipe from one of my readers, Camilla Jansson. Camilla writes: This is my new favorite salad recipe, made with cabbage leaves. I tried both pointed cabbage and savoy. Even my partner who usually doesn't eat a lot of vegetables loves it.

Instructions:
Steam cabbage leaves
Add dill and scallion.
Make a dressing with oil, balsamic vinegar (preferably white), lemon juice and herbal salt.
Add a little lumpfish roe (or capers) and a few parsnip, potato or beet chips.
Serve it for lunch together with a nice slice of bread, or use it as a side dish.
