Baked apples with almond paste filling
These luxurious little baked apples are so delicious, and the perfect treat for any holiday party.
Ingredients
- 4-6 apples
- 2 1/2 oz (75 g) soft butter
- 2 1/2 oz (75 g) almond paste
- 1 grated bitter almond
- 1/2 cup (1 1/4 dl) granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 2 tbsp cream
- 1 egg
- chopped nuts
Warm baked fruit with ice cream is such a simple yet festive dessert. My baked apples with an almond paste filling and cinnamon taste like Christmas in a bowl.
Instructions:
Turn the oven to 390 degrees (200 degrees Celsius.)
Cut the apples in half and core them.
Put them close together (leaning on each other) in a greased baking dish.
Mix all the ingredients for the batter, except for the nuts. Don't worry if you don't have exactly the right amount of ingredients, you can be flexible here.
Add the batter on top of the apples.
Garnish with chopped nuts.
Bake the apples for around 20 minutes, or until they get some color.
Serve your baked apples with vanilla ice cream.
