Citrus flower tea
All you need is one of these little flowers! This is how you make the most out of your morning, with citrus flower tea.
This little flower might not look like much, but it's actually an explosion of delicious flavors! One of my Instagram followers sent me this tip after I had posted about my lemon tree. It's just starting to bloom after a long winter rest. The flowers smell absolutely wonderful!
A kick of citrus
"Make tea from the fallen flowers!", my follower said. Of course, I had to try it! I usually drink black tea, so I simply added a flower to an infuser ball filled with black tea leaves. A wonderful scent rose when I poured the hot water in the cup. It was definitely citrusy but it didn't smell like lemon or regular flavored tea. This was something completely different.
The flowers I'm using have already fallen from the tree. I tried using both lemon and calamondin, they are both equally delicious. As I said, I put the flower in the infuser but I think it would look lovely floating around in the cup or a clear glass too. Citrus flower tea is such a treat!
Do you like using flowers in your tea too?
