My first vacation!

It took a few years, but now I'm finally able to take some time off over the holidays. I'm going to spend my first vacation in the kitchen garden of course!

I love my job! Creating Sara's Kitchen Garden is the best decision I have ever made, professionally speaking. This is the most fun I have ever had at work. Sara's Kitchen Garden is a dream come true and I'm so proud to see my company thriving!

Starting your own business is a big project. I started in 2014 and now just a few years later, I have several co-workers and plenty of inspiration and energy coming from all directions, driving this business forward. My schedule is generally quite flexible, but I do work a lot. I spend all my free time with my kids, just like my husband Philip does. Being self-employed is a dream but it also means working when everyone else is free. My work doesn't stop just because of the holidays for example. I'm always prepared to get my hands dirty when it's needed. And sometimes, it really is. But it's so exciting too!

This year though, I'm going to try something completely new. I'm actually going to take some time off over the holidays! My first vacation. It scares me a little, but I have great colleagues helping me out while I relax for a few days.

I'm looking forward to splashes of color in 2020. I can't wait to harvest my lovely asparagus in spring.

I decided to buy some new yarn, and I plan on making striped tights and a wrap top.

Sowing is also a priority on my first vacation. Preferably one sowing every day. Cabbage is next! This lovely point cabbage is called Kalibos.
